Blayshaw
is a small Yorkshire Dales farm located in the heart of Upper
Nidderdale, a designated Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The Walker family has run the farm for over 500 years. The
relentless march of time, however, has done little to alter
the breathtaking views, the tranquillity and the unique feel

Blayshaw
farmhouse was recently renovated and has been carefully redesigned
and refurbished into a high standard holiday accommodation.
The four bedrooms make it possible to accommodate parties
of up to 10 people, however, smaller groups will still find
the farmhouse is an ideal base for enjoying the best that
the Yorkshire Dales can offer.
The farmhouse
boasts superb panoramic views and enjoys a private position
on the West side of the dale. Its elevated location offers
a “picture postcard” aspect of the charming villages
of Middlesmoor, Lofthouse and the upper dale itself. An abundance
of wildlife accentuates the back to nature feel of this very
special place.
Access to
the farmhouse is via a farm track which is steep in places.
Cars driven with care can negotiate the track and climb, however,
"for those wanting a touch of adventure with
their holiday we offer a Land Rover for guest’s use
at no additional charge – a big hit with kids."
The Land Rover is insured, serviced and has a valid MOT.

Ground
Floor
The
entrance to Blayshaw farmhouse leads into a large oak-beamed
traditional kitchen and dining area. The feature black lead
range and Yorkshire flagstones help to create an impression
of yesteryear whilst the fully fitted kitchen combines the
old with the new. The large dining table invites you to make
mealtimes a special and sociable occasion.
Leading
from the kitchen is a cloakroom with toilet and hand-basin.
The separate utility room contains a freezer, washing machine,
microwave, tumble dryer and central heating / hot water controls.
There is ample space and facility to hang outdoor clothing
and store walking boots etc.
The
south-facing lounge also contains a feature black-leaded fireplace
and oak-beamed ceiling. This charming room has superb views
of Nidderdale and leads through a stone archway into a quiet
/ reading area offering yet another lovely view of the Dale.
First
floor
The back staircase leads to the first double bedroom, a spacious and airy room
complete with en-suite shower, toilet and hand basin. This room has an adjoining
lockable door leading to bedroom 2 which contains three single beds. Both rooms
have original feature fireplaces.
The front
staircase leads to bedrooms 2, 3, 4 and also the main bathroom.
Bedroom 3 is an elevated oak-beamed double room. Bedroom
4 has a single bed and full-sized bunk beds. The main bathroom
contains a bath with shower, toilet and hand basin.
All rooms
throughout are furnished to a very high standard with solid
pine handcrafted furniture. The attention to detail makes
Blayshaw feel like a home from home.

Oil
fired central heating and hot water throughout. Electric double
oven with grill (fan assisted), hob, microwave, fridge, freezer,
washing machine, dish washer and tumble dryer, smoke alarms
(both floors), shaver points, purified spring water, colour
TV / video with full Sky package, CD / radio cassette player
with comprehensive selection of cd’s. Travel cot, high
chair, selection of games, books and baby / toddler toys.
Outside
Area
Pretty private patio areas for sitting-out, large BBQ with
utensils for summer season, rockery and gravelled area
with stone troughs. Large car parking area.
All fuel,
power, bed linen and towels are included in the price.
The farmhouse is a no smoking property and we do not accept
pets.
Part of
